Sandra Løvstad earned her Bachelor of Science in Financial Management from the University of Connecticut School of Business and her Master of Science in Global Finance from Fordham University Gabelli School of Business in New York. Sandra quickly became enamored with Hutto’s unique hippo mythology. She enjoys capturing photos of the various hippo statues throughout the community and even acquired her own hippo statue at the annual Olde Tyme Days fair.

In early 2024, Sandra embarked on her next business venture by founding Hippo Vending™. With a mission to provide high-quality vending solutions, she aims to serve Hutto, Taylor, Round Rock, Georgetown, Austin, and the surrounding areas. Hippo Vending offers free vending machines to businesses and provides ongoing restocking and service.

Before launching Hippo Vending, Sandra built an extensive professional background in consulting, finance, customer service, and corporate operations. Drawing on decades of business experience, she transitioned into entrepreneurship with a commitment to building a company grounded in professionalism, innovation, and community engagement. Sandra is proud of her multi-cultural and multi-racial family. She is an Afro-Caribbean-American, and her husband is Danish-American. Together, they are raising their son in a home that embraces diversity, cultural appreciation, cultural respect, and strong family values. While she is grateful for the family she has built, she is also open to the possibility of adoption in the future, believing that family is defined by love, commitment, and shared experiences.

Family is at the center of Sandra’s life and remains her highest priority. While she is dedicated to her business endeavors, she views success as most meaningful when it complements a fulfilling immediate family life. Sandra is also deeply passionate about humanitarian and community-focused initiatives. My son loves posing for photos with the local hippos. I’ve explained to him many times that they are not horses, but he enjoys them all the same and never misses a chance to “model” with them. It has become one of his favorite activities whenever we’re out, he naturally gravitates toward them, strikes a pose, and lights up with excitement. It’s a small but joyful routine that always brings a smile to his face and makes for some truly memorable pictures.
